Stanley Alba

Stanley Edward Alba 62, died peacefully after a long struggle with diabetes on February 12, 2016.He is survived by his mother, Ruth Olivier Alba, his sister, Ellen Fakier and her husband, Mike, and his niece, Lauren Fakier.  He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Alba, Jr.Stanley was a biologist and a photographer.  Traveling, scuba diving in the Caribbean, writing, and enjoying days in the country near Grand Coteau were his favorite pastimes.Funeral services will be held at Lake Lawn Mausoleum in Metairie.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stanley's name to the Foundation for TGMC -Diabetes Program or the Vandebilt Band Boosters Club.
