Dean Franklin

Dean Henry Franklin, age 54, a native and resident of Houma, LA died on Jan. 21, 2016.   Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30 at Chauvin Funeral Home. Services are to follow, burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery.  He is survived by his son, Derek Franklin and wife, Tara; sisters, Debbie Hebert and husband, Joey, and Donna Arata and husband Tony; and grandchildren, Cadence Fonseca and Jackson Franklin.   He is proceeded in his death by parents, Richard and Bonnie "Jean" Franklin; grandparents, Henry and Christina Schimth Bell, and Wilson and Beatrice Ledet.   He was co-owner of Cajun Vending.  He was a member of the Krewe of Hercules.  He was a hardworking man who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends but treasured his time with his grandchildren the most. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
