Elizabeth “Cookie” Jean Jarrell Elliott, 63, died Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 11:08 AM. She was a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Friday, September 18, 2015 from 9:45 AM until funeral time at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Wesley Vernon Elliott; son, Wade Vincent Elliott and wife, Emily; daughter, Kimberly Angel' Elliott Dozar and husband, Ryan; sister, Gladys "Ann" Dupre and husband, John; grandchildren, Kate Dozar, James Elliott, Lauren Dozar and Elliot Dozar. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Lee Sr. and Ruth Marie Collins Jarrell; brother, Thomas L. Jarrell, Jr.. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. She was employed with Walmart for 32 years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
