Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc., and Friday, September 18, 2015 from 9:00am until service time at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at11:00am on Friday, September 18, 2015 at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his,Wife of fifty year, Opal Arceneaux Marcel, Sons: Cliff J. Marcel, Maurice J. Marcel Jr. and wife Laura, and George J. Marcel and wife Coleen, Brother: Michael J. Marcel and wife Mary, Sister-in-Law: Gail Marcel, and he is also survived by many grand children and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his, parents, Louis Joseph Marcel and Dolores Brunet Marcel, brother: Gerald J. Marcel, and sister: Delores Bourgeois, He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend to many. He kept his promises and he loved his garden. He loved to work in his garden.
