Vilma Gernon, died Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 03:00 AM. She was a native of Recife, Pe Brazil and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Friday, April 24, 2015 from 9:00am until 11:00am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 11:00am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She is survived by her, Spouse: George Owen Gernon, Son: Marco Antonio Gernon and wife Jeanne' of Bourg LA, Daughter: Adrianna Gernon Eschete and husband Guido, Grandchildren: Jeanne'-Morgan Gernon, Elizabeth Marie Gernon, and Gianna Leigh Eschete. She was preceded in death by her, Parents: Albino Veloso and Olinda Ferreira DeSouza, She enjoyed flowers, cooking and her family. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the American Cancer Society.
