Joachim “Jock” Anthony Benoit Jr., 59, a native and resident of Houma, died at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2008. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. He is survived by three sisters Hilda Pitre, Anna Luke of Houma and Shirley Duplantis of Bourg; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joachim A. Benoit Sr. and Stella Verret Benoit. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
