L.J. “Pee Wee” James King, 65, a native and resident of Houma, died at 12:53 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his companion, Lou Toups; one son, Shayne King and wife, Krystal, of Houma; two daughters, Shawn King of New Orleans, and Shani King and husband, Steven Zorn, of Houma; two brothers, Vernal King Jr. and Randy King; one sister, Diane Dryden; four grandchildren, Tyler King, Katelyn King, Abigail King and Caleb King; and his beloved baby, Missy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Robichaux King; his parents, Vernal King and Hazel Marcel King; one brother, Errol King; and one sister, Susan King.
He was an account supervisor with Shamrock Management LLC and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
