Lawrence Anthony Morvant, 65, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 04:20 PM. He was a native of Lafayette, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2015 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Monday, January 26, 2015 at 9:00 AM untill Service Time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held in Garden of Memories Cemetery. He is survived by his, daughters, Charolynn Morvant Sterkins, Gwendolynn Morvant Theriot and husband, Burt, and Nora Isabel Morvant; son-in-law, Rodney Sterkins; grandchildren, Jacob, Jade and Mason Sterkins, Alesha Theriot, Damon, Dylan, Alex and Ashley Stein; step-grandchildren, Ty and Veronica Theriot; great-grandchildren, Ethan Wiltz, Mason-Riley and Kyle Sterkins. He was preceded in death by his, parents, Ozare Thomas and Nora Isabel O'Hagan Morvant; brother, Thomas Morvant; sister, Mary Morvant. He was member of Lions Club for over 20 years. He enjoyed doing woodwork. He loved spending time with his family.
