Joseph “Paran” Julius Boudreaux

Joseph “Paran” Julius Boudreaux, 85, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2008. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Shirley “Pinky” Ledet Boudreaux of Houma; two sons, Julius Boudreaux and wife, Therese, of Bourg and Ronnie Boudreaux of Houma; one daughter, Paulette Boudreaux of Bayou Blue; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clemile Boudreaux and Alice Lirette Boudreaux; one daughter, Jo Ann Boudreaux; one grandson, Capt. Steven Boudreaux; four brothers, Givest, Anthony, Ernest and Bruce Boudreaux; and six sisters, Mrs. Morris Authement, Mrs. Robert Bergeron, Miss Olivia, Miss Irene, Miss Ignolia and Miss Aurilene. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was retired from the Louisiana Highway Department and owner of Houma United Cab Co. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in World War II.
