Duffy John Percle Sr., 72, a native of Donner, a former resident of Dulac and resident of Chauvin, died at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Florence Chiasson Percle of Chauvin; five sons, Donnie Percle and wife, Juliana, of Dulac, Ricky Percle and wife, Charlene, Steve Percle and wife, Sheila, of Chauvin, Michael Percle and wife, Shantelle, of Grand Caillou and Travis Percle and wife, Michelle, of Chauvin; one daughter, Darlene Percle of Chauvin; two brothers, David Percle of Donner and Daniel Percle and wife, Gail, of Thibodaux; one sister, Rosadel P. Boudreaux and husband, Robert, of Houma; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Duffy Augustine Percle and Mable Boudreaux Percle; one son, Duffy Percle Jr.; and one brother, Melvin Percle.
He was a retired painter/sand blaster with Hope Services and a U.S. Marine veteran during peacetime.
He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church.
