Lon Merlin Juneau, 62, a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, died at 8:15 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008.
Visitation will be from noon to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Celebration of his life will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel.
He is survived by his wife, Trudy Griffin Juneau of Houma; two sons, Lon Michael Juneau and wife, Dana, and Scott Juneau and fiancee, Lori Carlos; one daughter, Shanna Canell and fiance, Ernest Marcel; one brother, Stephen Coronella of Ver-mont; two sisters, Ann Sheehan of Virginia and Patti Almeida of Massachusetts; and eight grandchildren, Jordan, Barrett, Reese, Taylor, Austin, Regan, Launa and Gavin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis M. Juneau and Char-lotte Seal Juneau.
He was an insurance agent with AFLAC, a master gardener and a member of Kiwanis.
He loved his family and lived life to the fullest. He loved the people he served for AFLAC in Terrebonne Parish. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a man of many talents.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to AFLAC Children’s Cancer Center of Columbus, Ga.; or Children’s Hospital of New Orleans; or Hospice of South LA.
