Majorie Ann Marmande Herpin

Marjorie Ann Marmande Herpin, 67, a native and resident of Houma, died at 4:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2008. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. at the church, with burial to follow in the St. Francis cemetery. She is survived by her husband, George Herpin of Houma; one daughter, Shelly Herpin of Houma; one adopted daughter, Susan Gayner; one brother, James Marmande and wife, Marna: and four sisters, Felicie “Phyl” Trahan and husband, Danny; Myra Atkinson and husband, Michael, Marsha Penick and Billie Morgan. She was preceded in death by her parents, E.B. Marmande and Marjorie Gore Marmande and one son, Gregory Herpin. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a retired saleswoman at Dillard’s and a parishioner at St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
