Beatrice “Bea” Dupre Trahan

Beatrice “Bea” Dupre Trahan, 92, a native of Bayou Blue and a resident of Houma, died at 3:10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2008. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Cemetery. She is survived by one son, Robert “Bobby” Trahan of Houma; one daughter-in-law, Deanna Brien Trahan of Texas; one sister, Olive Dupre Savoie of Houma; and numbers grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Joseph Trahan; her parents, Alfred Dupre and Victoria Thibodaux Dupre; two sons, William “Ned” Trahan and Daniel “Danny” Trahan; two brothers, Dewey Dupre and Woodreax “Woody” Dupre; and three sisters, Ester Dupre Domangue, Enez Dupre Boquet and Helen Dupre. She was a retired cook with Cenac Towing Company and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
