Roland Andrew Robichaux, 85, a native and resident of Houma, died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to
funeral time Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at
the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Leona LeBouef Robichaux of Houma; two sons, Richard
Robichaux and wife, Bonnie, of Chauvin, and Carroll Robichaux and wife, Judy, of
Houma; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild;
and one step-great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Robichaux and Julie Lirette
Robichaux; two brothers, Eugene and Junius Robichaux; and four sisters, Levie
Richards, Hazel Bonvillain, Esther Bourg and Ruby LeBouef.
He was a retired truck driver for Southdown Sugars, a U.S. Army veteran of World
War II and a member of the VFW Houma Post.
He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
