Doris Boudreaux Chauvin

Doris Boudreaux Chauvin, 87, a native of Houma and resident of Broussard, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008. Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. today at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She is survived by one daughter, Merrill Chauvin Yerby and husband, Bill Yerby, of Broussard; two grandchildren, Kelly Yerby Hempen and husband, Mike Hempen, and Scott Yerby and wife, Kristy Yerby, both of Lafayette; and two great- grandchildren, Luke Peter Hempen and Miller Matthew Yerby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton “Pete” Joseph Chauvin; her parents, Emile and Angelle Boudreaux; and her siblings, Elam Boudreaux, Annie Rhodes, Eclam Boudreaux, Fannie Authement, Abbie Boudreaux, Maggie Melancon and Lyman Boudreaux. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and very devoted to her family.
