Leon Harold Bauland Jr., 87, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014. He was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 9:00AM until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 11:00AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his son, Harold Joseph Bauland and wife Celeste; daughter, Kay Bauland; sister, Gail Arsena grandchildren, Madeleine Bauland, Meredith Bauland, Katie Lyn Champagne, Barret Samanie, Beau Samanie; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 39 years, Claudia Clement Bauland; parents, Leon Harold Bauland Sr and Louise Daunis Bauland; and sister, Marion Bauland. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Leon Harold Bauland Jr. was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at The Oaks of Houma for the loving care given to Leon over the five years he resided there.
