Leon Firmature Sr.

Leon Firmature Sr., 78, a native of Bogalusa and resident of Houma, died at 12:19 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2008. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Thibodaux Firmature of Houma; two sons, Leon Firmature Jr. of Houma and Lynn Firmature and wife, Barbara Eschete, of Houma; three daughters, Lena Marie Firmature, Lisa Firmature and Lillian Price and husband, Duffy Price, of Houma; one brother, Anthony Firmature of Waveland, Miss.; one sister, Sally Jaromin of Lake Jackson, Texas; two granddaughters, Kasey Firmature and Krista Firmature; and a very special friend of the family, Tina Ledet. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Firmature and Lena Passaro Firmature. He was a retired mechanic for Patterson Truck Line and N.L. McCullough. He was a veteran of the Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the National Rifle Association Club. He was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.
