Mitzi Corkern Crochet, 44, died Sunday, December 29, 2013. She was a native of Baton Rouge, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on January 2, 2014 from 9:00AM until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held on January 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.. Burial: Garden of Memories Cemetery. She is survived by her, husband, Leland Joseph "Joey" Crochet, Jr., son, Jeffery Charles "Jayce" Mike, Jr., father, Claude E. "Butch" Corkern, Jr., step son, Leland Crochet, III, step daughters, Allie Crochet and Haleigh Everette, step granddaughter, Ryleigh Crochet. She was preceded in death by her, mother, Jo Ann Miller Corkern. She was a Nicholls State university graduate and member of Delta Zeta Sorority. She was a teacher for the Terrebonne Parish School Board.
