Dolores Cantu Alesi

Dolores Cantu Alesi, 78, a native of Sugarland, Texas, and resident of Harvey, died at 9:40 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2008. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Morgan and husband, Thomas, of Harvey, and J. Annette Fanguy and husband, Rory, of Houma; one brother, Paul Cantu of San Antonio; two sisters, Ramona Hernandez and Lucy Cantu of San Antonio; two grandchildren, Joe Alesi Fanguy and fiancee’, Jessica Bergeron, and Jeri Ann Fanguy of Houma; two great-grandchildren, Alesi Lynn Fanguy and Loralei Sophia Whitten; and her godchild, Dawn Domangue Duplantis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Alesi; her parents, Sotero Cantu Sr. and Emilia DeLaFeuntes Cantu; two brothers, Sotero Cantu Jr. and Frank Cantu; and two sisters, Mary Bailey and Paulina Cantu. She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
