Thelma Marie Deroche Hebert, 89, a native and resident of Houma, died at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2008.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
She is survived by three sons, Kirby Hebert and wife, Audrey, of Gentry, Ark., Eugene Hebert and wife, Fallarie, of Gray and Alcide Hebert Jr. and wife, Sandra, of Houma; five daughters, Evelyn Trahan, Mary Parker and husband, Fred, of Houma, Earline Adams and husband, Evance, of Gray, Carolyn Theriot and husband, Clay, of Houma and Gail Trahan and husband, Garland, of Gray; one brother, Ivy Deroche of Scott; four sisters, Myrtle Fanguy, Audrey Chaisson of Houma, Rhea Lirette of Thibodaux and Marlene Cenac of Houma; 28 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alcide Hebert Sr.; her parents, Elie Deroche and Nora Fournier Deroche; four grandchildren, Eliska Trahan, Ted Parker, Cecil Breaux and Harry Kibodeaux; one son-in-law, Euclis Trahan; and one sister, Melva Fanguy.
She was a homemaker, a loving wife of 68 years and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
