Edward "Eddie" Paul Dupre, 40, a native and resident of Houma, died at 12:19 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2008.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. Prayer services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Kristi Gros Dupre of Houma; parents, Douglas P. Dupre and Karen Matherne Dupre of Houma; two sons, Tate Michael Dupre and Travis Verdin Jr., both of Houma; one daughter, Kristin Dupre of Houma; one sister, Rhea "Sissy" Pisani and husband, David, of Houma; maternal grandparents, Cleveland and Rhea Chauvin Matherne of Houma; paternal grandparents, Ma "CoCo" and Cecile Malbrough Dupre of Houma; four nephews, Paden James Dupre, Jordan Tabor, Drew Tabor and Landon Ashley, all of Houma; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gina Hebert and husband, P.J., of Houma; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ken Gros and wife, Brooke, of Houma; and father-in-law, Kennith Gros Sr. of Houma.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Marian Eschete Gros.
He was a marine electrician with Work Boat Electric. He was a member of St. Gregory’s Knights of Columbus Council No. 6170 and Krewe of Hercules. He loved bowling, softball, fishing and spending time with his wife and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
