Doris Eva Breaux Trahan, 88, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Judith "Judy" Breaux of Houma; five grandchildren, Ralph Hebert, Steve Hebert, Kim Hebert, Danette Breaux Lirette and Melissa Breaux Bonvillain; 11 great-grandchildren, Christian Hebert, Cameron Hebert, Brandi Hebert, Heather Hebert, Beanie Hebert, Kaci Hebert, Matthew Hebert, Jennifer Lirette, Lacey Bonvillain, Trista Bonvillain and Faith Bonvillain; and one great-great-grandchild, Hayden Darsey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John "T-Nom" Trahan; her parents, Eugene Breaux Sr. and Eva Breaux; one daughter, Betty Hebert; one grandson, Reggie Breaux; five brothers, Edmond, Oscar, Edgar, Eugene Jr. and Irvin Breaux; and one sister, Mildred Marcel.
She was a retired custodian with Terrebonne Parish School Board and a member of the Ladies Altar Society.
She was a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
