Anthony "Tony" Grasso Jr., 78, a native and resident of Houma, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Prayer service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Warren Grasso of Houma; one son, John Anthony Grasso Sr. and companion, Gwen LeBlanc, of Thibodaux; one daughter, Toni Ann Fanguy and husband, Terry, of Houma; two brothers, Charles "Boo" Grasso Sr. and Thomas G. Grasso of Houma; four grandchildren, Nina G. Veasman and husband, John, John A. Grasso Jr. and fiancee’, Amber LaCoste and Cami and Kyle Fanguy; two step-grandchildren, Joey Fanguy and wife, Alyssa, and Rusty Fanguy and wife, Neda; two great-grandchildren, Ethan John Grasso and Evan John Veasman; and five step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Grasso Sr. and Lucille Martino Grasso.
He was a self-employed businessman, a commercial pilot and a lifetime member of the VFW.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Dickie Haydel and Dr. Richard Abben.
He was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.
