Patricia "Patty" Ann Van Kessel Fonseca

Patricia "Patty" Ann Van Kessel Fonseca, 68, a native of Miami and resident of Montegut, died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park. She is survived by her husband, James Fonseca of Monegut; two sons, James Fonseca Jr. of Georgia and George Fonseca of Houma; one daughter, Dalane Fonseca of Houma; eight grandchildren, Brandi Babin, Christopher Fonseca, Randy LeBoeuf Jr., Amber Huffman, Gabe Fonseca, Hayden Fonseca, Dylan Fonseca and Myah Marie; and one great-grandchild, Maegan Long. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Van Kessel and Jessie Gertrude Cook Van Kessel; and numerous brothers and sisters. She was a retired nurse for Terrebonne General Medical Center and for the State, a Cub Scout Pack Leader and a member of the Marine Corps League Auxiliary. She was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church.
