Christina Ellender

Christina Marie Ellender, 43, a native and resident of Houma, died at 1:12 a.m. Monday, March 3, 2008. Visitation will be from 3 to 10 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by her loving friend, Daniel Duplantis; one son, Jared Lee Ellender and wife, Marivic, of Killen, Texas; one brother, Wayne Ellender of Houma; eight sisters, Carol Ellender, Theresa Redmond and husband, Glenn, Wanda Rogers of Houma, Mary Ellender of Dularge, Bonnie Welch and husband, Keith, of Chauvin, Paula Hebert and husband, Butch, of Houma, Winnie Falgout and husband, Barry, of Gray and Laraine Giroir and husband, Craig, of Schriever; and one grandchild, Aisha Zacarias Ellender. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Peter Ellender and Helen Waguespack Ellender; two brothers, Darrell Ellender and Barry Ellender; one sister, Patricia Seago; and her grandparents, Oliver and Josephine Samanie Waguespack, Lee Joseph and Aglae Thibodeaux Ellender. She was an associate with J.C. Penney and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Christina Marie Ellender Medical Fund at Capital One Bank.
