Irvin "Pete" Joseph Babin, Sr, 78, died Monday, December 31, 2012 at 6:02 AM. He was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at Chauvin Funeral Home and Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 8:00AM until 11:00AM at Chauvin Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11:00AM on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Gray, Louisiana. He is survived by his, Wife of 47 years, Frances Louise Higginbotham Babin, Sons, Irvin J. Babin, Jr and wife Sunshine Babin, V. Lee Babin and wife Pamela Babin, Daughter, Hope Babin Billiot and husband Timothy Billiot, Grandchildren, Heather Billiot and husband Brent, Christopher and Austin Babin, Harley and Mason Babin, Great Grand daughter, Madison Billiot, Step Grandchildren, Wyatt, Abigail and Gabriel Trahan, Sister, Carolyn "Country" Babin, He was preceded in death by his, Parents, Irvin Valery Babin and Lillian Boudreaux Babin Darcey, Brothers, Novel J. Babin and Reynold P. Babin, Sisters, Helen Folwer, Lois Breaux, Alberta Lafitte, Beulah Graly, Yvonne Guidry, Betty Jane Fontenot, Beverly Bonvillain, Florence Babin and Genevieve Babin He was a member of First Baptist Church of Houma. Pete was an avid fisherman and motorcycle rider. His great grand daughter was the apple of his eye. He much loved his children and grandchildren.
