Joseph "Joe" Mark Robinson, a resident of Houma, LA died Friday, December 28, 2012 at 6:00 PM. He was 103 years old.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 10:00 AM until service time at First United Methodist Church.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 12:00 PM at First United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow at a later date at Terrebonne Memorial Park.
He is survived by his
son, James "Jim" Robinson,
grandchildren, Kathy Robinson Chauvin, Mark "Tommy" Robinson,
great grandchildren, Tanner John Freeman, Kellie Robinson Dubois, great great grandchild, Mady Dubois,
step great grandchildren, Meagan, Kristen and Brandon Chauvin,
step great great grandchildren, Ainsley Kohls, Kennedy Chauvin, and Braxton Landry.
He was preceded in death by his
wife, Mildred Smith Robinson,
parents, James John Robinson and Florence Bauer Robinson,
daughter in law, Jean Robichaux Robinson, and grandson in law, Mark A. Chauvin.
He was a former member of several clubs and organizations, President of the Dularge Hunting Club, Vice President of the Louisiana Wildlife Federation, Chairman of the Houma Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, Masonic Lodge, Coastal Unit Officer for the Sheriff's Coastal Rescue Unit and a Board member of Terrebonne General Medical Center. He was avid fisherman and hunter. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. The family would like to thank the Suites of Sugar Mill for their dedication and love for Joe.
