Joyce Babin

Joyce Fanguy Babin, 82, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 3:17 PM. She was a native of Little Caillou, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 12:00 PM until Service time at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home Interment: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. She is survived by her, Husband, Jerry Babin Daughters, Sabrina Fitch and husband Jacob Fitch and Kathleen Deroche and husband Herbert Deroche, Grandchildren, Dawn Prosperie, Bridgette Miller, Corinne Deroche, Taylor Verrett, Colby Verrett, Kora Verrett, Travis Pellegrin and Casey Pellegrin, and 15 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her, First husband, Telemac "J.P." Pellegrin, Son, Glenn Pellegrin, Parents, Justin Fanguy, Sr and Sadie Duplantis Fanguy, Sisters, Dora Heaverlo, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Zeringue and Judith "Judy" Thibodeaux. Joyce retired after 26 years of service with Terrebonne Parish School Board as a food service manager, a job which she adored. She had a heart of gold. She was a loving wife and very devoted mother and grandmother. The family wishes to thank Terrebonne General Medical Center nurses on 4 North and 4 South for their exceptional care and understanding, and also thank you to Dr. Nicole McKee and Dr. Andre Guidry.
