Elta Leontine Savoie Fonseca, 85, died Monday, December 17, 2012 at 10:44 AM. She was a native of Gheens, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from 6:00PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. She is survived by her, sons, Thomas Fonseca and wife Sharon, Daniel Fonseca and wife Karen, Anthony Fonseca and Darrell Fonseca and wife Ellen, daughters, Peggy Fonseca Courteau, Sheryl Fonseca Hunter, Jane Fonseca Carroll and husband John, fifteen grandchildren and twenty nine great grandchildren, brother, Houston Savoie. She was preceded in death by her, husband, Nolan J. Fonseca, parents, John Savoie and Sidonia Schouest Savoie, son, Michael Fonseca, daughter Elaine Fonseca, son in law, Allen Courteau, brothers, Forrest Savoie, Horace Savoie, Alton Savoie, Earl Savoie, Sergie Savoie, sisters, Vernice Ordoyne, Jane PLaisance, Annie Pennison. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
