Leola Gautreaux Samanie, 88, died Thursday, December 13, 2012. She was a native of Chauvin, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Monday, December 17, 2012 from 9:30 AM until service time at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. She is survived by her, sons, Elray Foret and wife Haydie, Houma, LA, Steve Samanie, Houma, LA, daughters, Vickie S. Vedros and husband Blaine, Houma, LA, Trudy Doiron and husband Daniel, Houma, LA, grandchildren, Lisa Perkins, Blaine Vedros, Jr., Lauren V. Jones, Jillian V. Rowan, Christina V. McCain, Danielle D. Angeron, Arthur Doiron, Tommy Lirette and Todd Lirette, great grandchildren, Matthew Perkins, Adin Ross, Caitlyn Ross, Miles Rowan, Lola McCain, Gabriel Angeron, Anneliese Angeron, Caleb Angeron, Shelby and Blythe Lirette, Lauren and Bradley Lirette, sister, Mary Lain Collins. She was preceded in death by her, husband, Arthur Samanie, parents, Wilson Gautreaux and Virginia Authement Gautreaux, brothers, Loveless Gautreaux, Love Gautreaux, Wilbert Gautreaux, Ray Gautreaux. And two infant brothers, Leroy and Lowell Gautreaux. She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. She was a Restaurant Manager for Harry's Tasty Burger and Tasty Freeze. She was a hard worker and loved her children and grandchildren.
