Fred Lemoine

Fred A. Lemoine, 85, died Thursday morning, December 13, 2012 at his home in Houma, LA. A veteran of the United States Army, he was an avid outdoorsman having spent the better part of his life enjoying fishing with his wife of 60 years, Merle, who preceded him in death just last year. He is survived by his daughter, Carol and her husband Dr. Frank Graffagnino, his daughter, Mary and her husband Dr. Harrison Putman of Peoria, Illinois; two sons, Forest and Steven P. Lemoine, as well as nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Merle as well as his parents, Forest and Ivy Lemoine and one great grandson. The family extends deep appreciation to three special ladies, Rose Davis, Gloria Pitre and Sherri Young for their gift of personal and selfless assistance in caring for Fred. The family is also grateful for the skillful and compassionate care rendered by Haydel Memorial Hospice. Visitation will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Saturday, December 15, 2012 beginning at 11:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at St. Francis de Cemetery #2. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Haydel Memorial Hospice, 1011 Verret Street, Houma, Louisiana 70360.
