Beatrice Duplantis Samanie, 80, died Friday, December 7, 2012 at 11:08 PM. She was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. A Liturgy of the Word will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 11:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.. with burial to follow at St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery. She is survived by her Spouse: Floyd Samanie of Houma LA , Son: Tony Samanie and wife Becky of Houma LA, Daughters: Gwynn Bourg and husband Nathan of Houma LA, Lynn Boudreaux and husband Junius of Thibodaux LA , Brother: Wiltz Duplantis and late wife Dot of Thibodaux LA, Sisters: Irene Cortez and husband M.J. of Houma LA, Lois Hebert and late husband Eris of Houma LA, and Beverly Marcel and husband Junius of Houma LA. She is also survived by Grandchildren: Keith Bourg, Corey Boudreaux, Tara Jones, Marci Boudreaux, Todd Boudreaux, and Tori Samanie and Great Grandchildren: Erica Bourg, Ethan Boudreaux, Nicholas Bourg, Andrew Bourg and Taylor Boudreaux. She was preceeded by her Parents: Wiltz and Corinne Babin Duplantis, and Brother: Iry Duplantis. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be sadly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to an Alzheimer’s Association of your choosing.
