Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec 7, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home and Saturday, Dec 8, 2012 from 10:00 AM until Service time at Holy Family Catholic Church Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Dec 8, 2012 at 12:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his, Wife of 27 years: Angel Rouse Duplantis, Dulac, LA Mother: Gertie Gregoire Duplantis, Dulac, LA Son: Wedgir J. "John" Duplantis, III Dulac, LA Daughters: Ashley Dion and husband Joshua Dion and Chelsea Duplantis both of Dulac, LA Brothers: David Duplantis and wife Sue Ellen and Teddy Duplantis and companion Cher LeBouef both of Dulac, LA Sisters: Sabrina and Maggie Duplantis and companion Gabriel Celestine both of Dulac, LA 4 Grandchildren: Leon Naquin, Elijah Brown, Preston Gilmore and Aiyana Lovell, Father in law, A.J. Rouse and his puppy, Sunshine. He was preceded in death by his, Father: Wedgir Duplantis, Sr Son: Justin Lovell Mother in law, Jane Hebert Rouse Sister in law, Susan Lirette Ledet Niece, Sunshine Ledet. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. Wedgir was a loving father and grand father. His hobbies were fishing and hunting and he loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by family and friends but never forgotten. The family wishes to thank Bayou Home Care, Hospice of South Louisiana, and the Grand Caillou Fire Department.
