Joy Luke

Joy Duplantis Luke, 81, died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 9:15 PM. She was a native and resident of Chauvin, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 9:30 AM until service time at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. She is survived by her, daughter, Delilah Marie Luke, Baton Rouge, LA. She was preceded in death by her, husband, Travis James Luke, parents, Nemes Thomas Duplantis and Vivian Lapeyrouse Duplantis. She graduated from Terrebonne High School in 1948. She was President of the VFW Auxiliary for 25 years. She was a member of the American Legion, Ward 7 Citizens Club, Ladies Altar Society, St. Joseph Church in Chauvin and a member of the Lagniappe Singers.
