Beverly Brunet Prosperie

Beverly Brunet Prosperie, 69, a native of Montegut and resident of Houma, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by her former husband, Werlien Prosperie Sr.; two sons, Nicholas Prosperie and wife, Peggy, and Werlien Prosperie Jr. of Houma; two daughters, Sonia P. McNamara and Denise P. Fritch of Houma; two sisters, Earline Brunet Stringer and Marion Brunet Robichaux; and nine grandchildren, Catherine P. Picou and husband, Ryan, Christopher Prosperie, Werlien Prosperie III, Elizabeth Prosperie, Nekola Prosperie, Joshua Prosperie, Felicity Prosperie, Michael Prosperie and Matthew Prosperie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon Peter Brunet Sr. and Lena Robichaux Brunet; and two brothers, Lionel Brunet and Simon P. Brunet. She was a homemaker, a devout Catholic and a loving mother and grandmother.
