Josephine Capitano Ramirez

Josephine Capitano Ramirez, 88, a native of St. Louis and resident of Houma, died at 6:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, 2007. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by two sons, Danny Ramirez of Sontag, Miss., and Joseph Ramirez of Houma; three daughters, Rosemary Bergeron of Sontag, Shirley Ann Dupre and Frances Ann Patton of Houma; one brother, Jimmy Capitano of Kenner; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Ramirez; her parents, Frank Capitano and Josephine Cali Capitano; two brothers, Sam Capitano and Anthony Capitano; and one sister, Jenny Hebert. She was a homemaker and a member of Living Word Church.
