Evelyn Portier, 73, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 8:33 PM. She was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Monday, September 17, 2012 from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 17, 2012 at 1:00pm at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. She is survived by her, Sons: Charles "Chuck" Portier and wife Theresa, Blair Portier and wife Sue, Kent Portier, Ricky Portier, Steven Portier, and Kirk Portier and wife Chrystal. Sisters: Helen Sampay Boudreaux, and Shirley Sampay Bourgeois, Anne Sampy Delaune and Mae Sampay Falcon, and survived by 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her, Spouse: Charles Edmund Portier Parents: Early Joseph Sampay and Ruby Sampay Son: Errol Portier Brothers: Warren Sampay, and Gordon Sampay and Sisters: Betty Sampay Karpinski, Barbara Sampay Solet, and Mabel Sampay Bonvillain. She was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. She will be missed by family and friends.
