Granville “Cookie” Bernard Shaw, 82, died Saturday, August 25, 2012. He was a native of Patterson, LA and resident of Houma, LA. A visitation will be held on Wednesday Sept 5, 2012 from 10:30am until funeral time at St Gregory Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday Sept 5, 2012 at 11:30am. Burial for Granville Shaw will be held at a later date." He is survived by his, wife, Margaret "Punkin" Gaidry Shaw, Houma, LA, sons, Mark Shaw and wife Danielle Plauche', New Orleans, LA, Scott Shaw and wife Jeanne Breaux, Houma, LA, daughter, Susan Shaw and husband Jim Nickel, Baton Rouge, LA, step children, Bernard Breaux, Houma, LA, Jeanne Breaux Shaw, Houma, LA, Andree Breaux, Shreveport, LA, grandchildren, Samantha Claire Jarman, Mark Alexander Shaw, Justin Jean Plauche', Mary Marguerite Nickel, Isabella Wurzlow Nickel, John Hanson Shaw, Hunter Ian Shaw, sister, Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Shaw, Berwick, LA. He was preceded in death by his, parents, John Berwick Shaw, Jr. and Camille Marie LeBlanc Shaw, former wife, Claire Wurzlow Shaw, brother, John Berwick Shaw, III. He was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. He was an Oil and Gas Abstractor for Wurzlow Abstract Company for fifty years. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict as an Airman First Class. He was a past member of the Jaycees and the Krewe of Terreanians. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Haydel Memorial Hospice.
