John Juneau

John Juneau, 83, died Monday, August 20, 2012 at 6:45 AM. He was a native of Mansura, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 8:00 AM until Funeral Services at11:00 AM at Unity Lodge #267. Burial: Terrebonne Memorial Park. He is survived by his, Wife, Myrnl Howell Juneau; Daughters, Shirley Laurent, Glenda Jambon and son in law Tommy ; Stepchildren, Kenneth Dubose, Thomas Dubose and Myrna Ann Dubose; Grandchildren, Denton Laurent, Vanessa Walker and her husband Brian, Mitchell Jambon and Samantha Jambon; Numerous Step grandchildren and Step great grandchildren; Brother, Fred Juneau He was preceded in death by his, First Wife, Elisa Smith Juneau; Parents, Oscar Juneau and Volcie Roy Juneau; Sisters, Eppie Coleman and Axie Jenkins; Brother, Roy Juneau John founded, Juneau Marine Refrigeration & A/C, now under the ownership of Ed Laurent. He served in the United States Army during the WW II. Illustrious Brother John Juneau was a member of the Unity Lodge #267 and Terrebonne Fellowship #481, Walter I. Lanier #307 in Thibodaux, LA. He began masonry in EA Feb. 1, 1977, FC June 21, 1977, raised August 9, 1977 stood his exam in the MM degree on Nov. 22, 1989. He was the second member to get a perpetual membership in Unity Lodge. He became a shriner May 13, 1978. He was Master of the Unity Lodge in 1989, District Deputy Grand Master of 12 Masonic District in 1994, and became a 33 degree Scottish Rite Member, November 12, 2005. He held a certificate in proficiency in Masonry and Order of the Eastern Star. He was Worthy Patron in 1986, 1987, 1992 and 2003. He served as Grand Sential of Eastern Star State of Louisiana in 1997 for Laura Quave Wall. John is the Emeritus president to the Scottish Rite and LA Bonne Marie, which he started in September 2009.
