Rosalis Vito, Sr.

Rosalis "Joe" Joseph Vito, Sr. , 82, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 1:05 AM. He was a native of Little Caillou, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 17, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Saturday, August 18, 2012 from 8:00 AM until service time at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by his, wife of 57 years, Marie Ledet Vito, sons, Enos Vito, Jimmy Vito, , John Vito, LeRay Vito, Christopher Vito and companion Tara Authement, Daniel Vito, and Andrew Vito, daughters, Christine Bergeron and husband Daniel, Jane Bergeron and husband David, Charlene Vito and companion Danny Trahan, grandchildren, Paul Vito and wife Amanda, Wesley Bergeron and companion Myra Duplantis, Travis Bergeron and wife Andre, Cody Bergeron, Sr., Scott Bergeron, Danielle Vito and companion Joseph Matherne and Sasha Authement, six great grandchildren, Trey and Bryn Vito, Cody Bergeron, Jr., Harmonie Detiveaux, Melody Bergeron and Isabelle Bergeron, brother, Junius Vito, sister, Audrey Brunet and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his, parents, Andrew F. Vito and Daisy Gautreaux Vito, brother, Paul Vito, sons, Patrick Vito, Rosalis "R.J." Vito, Jr. and granddaughter, Lacie Ann Bergeron. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He worked for Holy Rosary Catholic Church prior to that he worked for Ratcliffe Material and also delivered milk for Henderson Dairy. The family would like to thank STAT homecare and St. Joseph Hospice, Dr. AbouIssa, Dr. Long and Cardiovascular Institute of the South and Chauvin Funeral Home for all of their services.
