Myrtle “Sis” Pellegrin Bergeron, 90, a lifelong resident of Houma, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at 1:52 PM of cancer.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #1.
She is survived by her,
husband, Stanley "S.E." Edward Bergeron, Jr., Houma, LA
daughter, Carol Ann and husband Richard Eagle, Houma, LA
sons, Kenneth Bergeron and wife Ruth, Dale Bergeron, David Bergeron, all of Houma, LA,
grandchildren, Starla Bergeron Dupre and husband David, Tanya Bergeron Duthu, Crystal Conner, Amber Eagle and Alyssa Eagle, Kayle Adams,
eight great grandchildren,
sister, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) R. Wright and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her,
parents, Love Wallace and Laura Angel Pellegrin,
brothers, Myrden Pellegrin, Sr. and wife Meryl LeBlanc Pellegrin, and Terry Pellegrin, Sr. and wife Margaret Moody Pellegrin,
brother in law, Robert R. Wright,
nephew, Robert "Bob" Wright and
great nephew: Ben Brown.
She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral .
"Sis" as she was affectionately called by those who knew her, was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking for her family. Her daughter and grandchildren fondly recall watching cooking shows with her and helping her make their favorite meals. Her legacy to her family was her admirable optimistic and courageous attitude that ultimately sustained her during her cancer treatments. The family wishes to thank the physicians, nurses and staff of Mary Byrd Perkins Cancer Center and Journey Hospice for their nurturing care.
