Lawrence “Piggy” Joseph LeBoeuf, 95, who left his home on Earth to go to his new home with his Lord and family members who went before him, died Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 11:37 AM.
He was a native of Montegut, LA and resident of Houma, LA.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 8:30 AM until service time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his,
five daughters, Elaine Pitre and husband, Charles, Marguerite Fletcher and husband Farrell, Sandra Ledet and husband Richard, Sr., Kay Hebert and husband Allen, Pamela Kimball and husband Michael,
nine grandchildren, David C. Pitre, Beth P. Landry, Max Fletcher, Neil Fletcher, Richard Ledet, Jr., Lynn Ledet, Bryan P. Hebert, Beau Hebert and Rodney Prejean,
19 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his,
wife, Gladys Tregre LeBoeuf,
parents, Victor Joseph and Velina Duplantis LeBoeuf,
brothers, Sidney, Allen, Horace, Sr. and Leland LeBoeuf,
sisters, Lelia "Tout" Stoufflet and Eula Fabre.
He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He retired in 1976 from Texaco to take care of his ill wife.
He served in the United States Army during World War II.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #272. He was very active in the building of the Legion Home on Recreation Drive.
