Dennis Timothy Michel, 58, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at 9:15 AM. He was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 10:00 AM until service time at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2 He is survived by his, sisters, Margaret Michel Rivoire, Monroe, LA, Mary Catherine Michel Rivoire, Seattle, WA, Carolyn Michel Oubre, New Iberia, LA, Elizabeth Michel Scurto and husband Michael, Houma, LA, and twin sister, Martha Michel Walker and husband Chris, Raceland, LA, sister in law, Carol K. Michel, Avondale, LA, seventeen nieces and nephews, thirty great nieces and nephews and ten great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his, parents, Abel Gustave Michel, Sr. and Anna May Fields Michel, brothers, Abel Gustave Michel, Jr. and Joseph Michael Michel. Dennis was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. He was a loving and dedicated student and employee at TARC for 50 years. The family would like to give special thanks and love to all employees of TARC, Dixie Community Home, Chateau Terrebonne Health Care and Hospice of South Louisiana.
