Robert Joseph Verdin, 48, died Thursday, June 28, 2012. He was a native and resident of Dulac, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home and Friday, July 6, 2012 from 8:00 AM until Service time at Chauvin Funeral Home Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home. He is survived by his, Brothers, Hank Verdin and wife Donna, Leroy Verdin and wife Angela, Douglas Verdin and companion Lucinda and Danny Verdin; Sisters, Betty Dehart and husband Nathan, Lena Verdin and companion Faron Parfait, Mary Lowe and husband Jim, Shirley Verdin and companion Thomas Garress and Sabrina Punch and husband Todd; 25 Nieces and nephews 23 Great nieces and nephews and “Lil Podna” Ty Punch; Numerous friends and family. He was preceded in death by his, Parents, Evans Verdin, Jr and Esther Marie Verret Verdin; Grandparents, Evans Joseph Verdin and Marie Elaine Francis Verdin and Leah Billiot Verdin and Ellis Verret and Helena Billiot Verret; Sister, Patricia Verdin. He was a member of Clanton Chapel United Methodist Church. Robert “Robear” was a kind softhearted brother and friend that would give you the shirt off his back. He was always willing to help those he loved dearly. He enjoyed life and was the life of the party. He enjoyed cooking (a good one at that) and being with family and friends.
