Yvonne Marie Vinet Cheramie

Yvonne Marie Vinet Cheramie, 45, a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, died at 12:20 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2007. Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by her husband, Kurt Joseph Cheramie of Houma; her parents, Edward Vinet and Gwendolyn Gonzalez Vinet; one son, Cory Cheramie of Houma; one daughter, Jenna Cheramie of Houma; and two sisters, Evelyn V. Cortazzo of Harahan and Yvette V. Williams of Picayune, Miss. She was a registered nurse at Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Matthew’s Episcopal School.
