Samuel L. Ayo, Jr, 85, died Friday, June 1, 2012. He was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 11:30 AM until Service time at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 12:00 at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2 He is survived by his, Wife, Gloria Zeringue Ayo Children, Karen Ayo Ellender, Samuel Paul Ayo, Gayle Marie Ayo, Terri Ayo Toups and Dwayne Ayo; Grandchildren, Krissy Hightower, Landon Ellender, Lindsay Ellender, Blake Toups and Brennan Toups; Great Grandson, Bennett Samuel Hightower; Brother, Michael P. Ayo; Sisters, Ethel A. Boudreaux, Barbara A. Chaisson and Carmen A. Boudreaux. He was preceded in death by his, Parents, Lezin Samuel Ayo, Sr and Myrtle Jackson Ayo Daughter, Pamela Faye Ayo; Brothers, Carroll J. Ayo and Ronald J. Ayo; and Sisters, Joan A. Babin and Myrtle A. Rieve. Sam is a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II. In lieu of flowers donations to MD Anderson Cancer Center or Houma’s Regional Military Museum would be preferred.
