Druis LeBlanc

Druis John LeBlanc, Sr., 70, a native and resident of Houma, died at 4:50 PM on Saturday, May 5, 2012. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 4:00 PM until service time at 7:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Edelia “Lily” Luna LeBlanc; two sons, Druis LeBlanc, Jr. and wife Karen, Ronnie LeBlanc and wife Ginger; four daughters, Cynthia, Martha, Edelia “Marie” LeBlanc and Stella Chaisson and husband Shawn; ten grandchildren, Justin, Jared, Dylan Vanlandingham, Martin Chaisson and Brandon Hatch, Haley and Reese LeBlanc, Peyton and Preston Lassere, and Jeremy Bourdeaux; one great grandchild, Taylor Bourdeaux; five brothers, Alvin “A.J.” LeBlanc Jr., Eugene LeBlanc and wife Esmeralda, Dale, Barry, and Darry LeBlanc; five sisters, Joyce DeHart and husband Leroy, Caroline Trosclair and husband Benny John, Shirley Guy and husband Eugene, Sandra Hutchinson and husband Kevin, Eunice “Sis” Cangelosi and husband Nick; numerous nieces and nephews; and Toby. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin LeBlanc, Sr. and Eunice LeBlanc; Four brothers, Francis Sr., Charles, Carroll, and Ronald LeBlanc; Two sisters, Kathy Ledet and Rita Mae LeBouef. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved to go fishing, shrimping and going to the casinos. He always made everyone laugh and truly never met a stranger who didn’t think of him as a friend. He will be missed by all. The family wishes to thank everyone who cared for Druis during his illness, including physicians, nurses, aides, therapists, and all those who touched his life. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Haydel Memorial Hospice.
