Hugh Francis "Punkin" Breaux

Hugh Francis "Punkin" Breaux, 58, a native of Franklin and resident of Houma, died at 7:32 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church in Houma. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with interment in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife, Renelle Breaux of Houma; his father, Rivers Breaux of Franklin; one son, Chad Michael Breaux of Dallas; one daughter, Shelly Anne Breaux of Lafayette; one brother, Herbert Breaux of Franklin; one sister, Audrey Breaux Oestriecher of Alexandria; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Rivette Breaux. He worked for Hercules Offshore and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and motorcycle rider.
