Mrs. Connie Landreneau Breaux, 80, a native of Washington, LA and resident of Houma died Monday, April 30, 2012.
Visitation will be held on
Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 9:00am to 11:00am at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 11:00am at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Francis Breaux;
six children: Todd and wife Susan, Jane Breaux Kinler and husband Rhys, Eric and wife Pam, Myles, Gail Breaux Callahan and husband Kerry, and Gary and wife, Shana. She was a loving grandmother to 15 grandchildren and two great-grand children.
Mrs. Breaux loved children and was a devoted teacher who touched the life of every student she taught. She retired after 30 years of dedicated service in Terrebonne parish.
Mrs. Breaux was a faithful catholic and was devoted to the Blessed Mother.
She loved to cook for her family and every meal “was a celebration of life”. She was an amazing, loving, giving mother and grandmother; she enjoyed each moment spent with her family, especially during the Christmas season. Ms. Breaux loved to read and write: her favorite quote was “Be yourself, Be what you speak, If you lead a good life, You will be God’s praise”. Ms. Breaux was an inspiration to others and always had a smile and kind word for everyone.
She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral .
