Genevieve Marie Theriot Marcel, 89, died Monday, April 30, 2012 at 3:55 AM. She was a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 9:00 AM until service time at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. She is survived by her, sons, Earl Joseph Marcel and wife Jean Carolyn, and Ray John Marcel and wife Judy; daughter, Janet Marcel; grandchildren, Randall Marcel; Gwen Davis, Amanda LeBlanc, James Marcel, Thomas Marcel, Karen Savoie, Sheri Constant, Susan Rogers, Stephen Marcel, Clint Pellegrin; twenty three great grandchildren; and sister, Dot Aucoin and husband LeRoy. She was preceded in death by her, husband, Aaron Joseph Marcel; parents, Eddie Joseph Theriot and Eveline Ann Lirette Theriot; grandchild, Truitt Pellegrin; great grandchild, Matthew Pellegrin; sisters, Rita and Rosemary Theriot; and brothers, Norris Theriot, Odon Theriot, Royce Theriot, Herbert Theriot and Eugene Theriot. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She worked for Tarc in the classroom with the children and as head cook for thirteen years.
